What’s this post about?
Basically this post is an ongoing and updating post that’s tells you about what has evolved in this site. The things we have put in place, how it’s changed, the concepts, nick knacks and gadgets. Whats a gadget even? It tells you what works we have done on the site and when. Stuff like that!
It’s purpose is so that you get see what maintenance and things are being done to the site which will help you to clarify a few things.
Most the posts & comments below that you will see added as we go will be from the web master letting you know what works have been done! Just take a read to see the beginnings of the site and how it grew and common things that have been implemented now.
What goes on behind the scenes?
I can tell ya a lot more goes on behind the scenes in a web site then what ever hits the surface. Coding tweaking and tuning plugins, altering code to make certain little functions work correctly, writing posts, finding pictures suitable to install in the post and then re-editing later. Then you look at the site and say “it’s all not right!”
That and so much more goes on, for example you may only see this text but behind this very one post, there is special tags to enter in, page title and description, trackbacks, pingbacks, custom fields, subscriptions and a exhaustive list of buttons that could be used to edit, add film, bold text, font sizes etc etc.
O’well that’s a bit of an insight into the things we do to run a web site. Perhaps one day you will want to be a web site designer and run one by yourself. It can be fun, it can be a nightmare at times but for me it pans out alright. I get enough fascination and enjoyment out of it.
OK, so the ready of these posts will be randomly made at anytime to bring up to date what changes and things have been implemented in the site. A site for Property Investors Videos and my millionaire goals in real estate and other good stuff for Property Investors.
How did the name Jaffasoft come about?
Jaffas REBELLED
Actually way back 2000 when i thought of the concept of Jaffasoft. Like Jaffas ‘The Movies” soft software… “The Movies… Software”…Jaffasoft!
If you are not from Australia Jaffas are these little rebellious hard cased round chocolate lollies about the size of a small marble an orange-red color. That in the olden days people would buy when going to the movies. In-between eating them while watching the flicks would roll them down the hard wooden aisles to make disruptive funny and or annoying effects during watching the movie.
I’m sure it made many giggles during the films and or probably fights sometimes as well I’m sure. Not to mention keeping attendants on there toes. In a kind of strange and symbolic way i have incorporated those olden day Jaffas to roll on into this modern day site as a bit of history to attach to the modern day Internet.
It’s worth noting that Jaffa’s are still a big part of going to the movies in Australia. Every movie theatre you go into will have Jaffas for sale. But you will not find as much rolling on wooden floors going on because of the carpeted floor. Though i betcha they still throw them around.
Anyone from Australia already new that! I’ve put this here for perhaps our none Australian readers to explain the little round red icon around the place.

How this site began!
This site first began at a YouTube channel called ‘fropropertyinvestors’ (its’ still there!).
I had just got out of Hospital and was living in a car (white Mazda van). Having not been able to walk for two months and would not be able to walk for another three months. I was struggling to get by. Living on crutches and finding it very very tough. Buying groceries, getting around on crutches all the time, trying to get in and out of the car. Living. It was just very tough.
I had had enough i was at wits end. I needed to call into a mates place to see if he would put me up and allow me to recover for a few months. Lucky i had one up near Toowoomba because if i thought i had investor mates i was certainly wrong!!
It’s amazing how many rich people i know ‘investors’. Heartless is a better word they couldn’t give a stuff. People who i thought we’re my online mates and colleagues. I lay there in hospital is tears some days because of such a long time to lay in in bed. You could not roll over you had to just lay still. Awake through most nights as the medications make you doze all day. Not one of them visited. I was stranded in the Brisbane hospital where i new nobody a full long month and a half.
Well thankfully for my mate i had somewhere to stay and settle for a while. While i recovered! You realize things about life when you think to yourself during those times who are the arseholes and who are your loyal true old good mates.
That vented. The concept of what would turn into this site began in Christmas 2006, 25th December.
There we’re bits and peaces of this “YouTube” videos about. Just one or two coming to the surface! For the most part no-one really new what it was. Particularly investors in the property forums still hadn’t caught onto what it was really all about! I signed up as a YouTube channel and put one simple ‘join’ link telling people how to join.
I remember clearly a discussion thread i started about it! To my shock and surprize it was one on the most negative threads i have encountered. I got messages from people saying to me how they could believe how mean the people in the forum we’re being. Everyone ran down the idea as being bad and hammered me for it and the concept. They just don’t know how to support good idea’s and concepts they probably stop there own children from hanging finger paintings on the fridge that shows there growth.
That’s the problem in those forums half the time the don’t know how to support each other. That is there downfall. They we’re against me for even thinking about this YouTube concept. That’s how boring and conservative they we’re! They all had a go at me. I couldn’t understand. Like Jaffa’s i rebelled and stuck to doing what i was doing.
It was a different story behind the scenes. Which told me that it was just some jealous members with tall poppy syndrome spoiling it for everyone else. I was seeing people starting to flowing in and joining this group and thing new YouTube thing. Not of gold rush magnitude but people we’re signing up two, three a day and it quickly went to 280 people. The site is not a massive thing it’s simply my world, just a little facet of real estate investing. A interesting take for Property Investors to come watch videos of interest to them and the property investing arena.
So there you go! This site began by one single member of YouTube browsing and watching video sitting in a room profoundly and diligently nurturing it’s growth over a number of year casually in my spare time. But instead of being selfish started making collections and Playlists on different video as i watch them and or as they came to the surface.
This is how narrow minded people are! Would you believe that there was not one person in the history of that two years that contributed one video to any of the Playlists. Out of all the people that joined and had the same functionality as i had not one single person sent or recommended a video to the Playlists. All it was a matter of doing is clicking a button after you watched a video which would send it to the group for them to watch.
I think people were just not quote clued up enough to do it that way. They need a site that supports them in a better more easily accessed and diligent way that they can see and easily understand. Hence this new concept which is the only one and original of it’s kind in Australia is coming forward.
The scope of this site… where the gun has a range to shot with no boundaries is proving to be a better way that people are taking on more readily. People are coming in. Here we go again! So at the end of the day it all comes down to me and how i introduce thing to people.
But anyway i’m grateful that people make videos to find on YouTube in the first place because if they didn’t this site would not be available to anyone in the first place. So it all goes around to be a good thing for everyone. Which in some way is a consolation.
I just want to express to you that it takes your own effort to achieve things in many ways in life. It takes you being that one person in a million to follow your dream. “Your one individual dream!”
Victory comes to those brave enough to follow there dreams against all the odds and adversity.
